Ep.50 – Scott Sheryl - the Music Man - Reflects back on Record Stores

Remember 33s 45s and 8 tracks? Scott has been in the business for years and shares his memories.

Before Streaming, Podcasts, and Downloads, were 33 long play vinyl records (with pops and scratches), 8 track tapes (with the hiss and the clicks in the middle of songs), cassettes and they were all found in record stores located everywhere as sole retail stores, chains and in Department stores. Scott Sheryl started in the record business in the 1970s and is still going strong today.

Richard Solomon and Scott went into the studio and dusted off old editions of Billboard magazine and some great oldies to look at at an era that is now mostly historic.
